Ole' Big'un and Ole' Big'un Jr. Swimbait Hooks!!

The Ole' Big'un is an 8/0 hook with a 60 degree bend with a 1/2oz of weight poured on the hook with a screw lock keeper for the nose of the swimbait to attach.  This hook is great for the 5 1/2" and 6 1/2" hollow bodied paddletail swimbaits.  This hook will only be available in black nickel.

This large hook does not compromise the swimming action of the paddletail swimbaits.  Now you can finally get the right sized hook for those large paddletail baits with enough weight already on the hook.  No more stuffing extra weight inside the baits or clamping extra weight on the hooks. 

The Ole' Big'un Jr. is a 5/0 hook with a 28 degree bend with an extra wide bite with a 1/2oz of weight poured on the hook and has a screwlock keeper for the nose of the swimbait to attach.  This hook will be available in black nickel or red.

My name is David Ryan and I have been privately painting baits for myself and other tournament fisherman for the past 12 years. Now I am offering my custom paint jobs to the public. Like just a few others in the industry, this is my only job. I have dedicated myself to the sport that I love. Fishing for me is much more than just a hobby. I have spent the better part of my life with a fishing lure in my hand. As you travel through my new website you will be able to choose the new color patterns that you need.

I am offering something unique as well, I will be doing "Balsa B" repair. I will be fixing old "B's" that have wood damage and replacing broken or cracked bills. If you have invested the money in those old "B's" from various auction sites, you want to get all you can out of them!! As a competitive tournament angler I realize how crucial it is to have a quality paint job. I also realize that paint and clear coat build-up only deadends the action of the bait. I will make a conscious effort to paint every lure as if it were my own. The quality is what matters and the quality is what will bring back happy customers for repeat business!!

I have a wide variety of paint schemes available. I also have one of the most durable high gloss finishes on the market today. I have developed this technique over many years of trial and error. My high gloss finish will not spiderweb when an errant cast takes your bait into a dock, tree or rocks. Although, repeated abuse has an adverse effect to any and all paint jobs.
